Caldey Island Book Launch

The launch for the book Ross worked on with author Chris Howells is going to be launch in Tenby Bookshop on July 26th from 3pm. We hope to see you all there.
Here is a little bit about it...

On the island of Caldey off the coast of Pembrokeshire, the Cistercian monks continue a tradition which began in the sixth century. Author Chris Howells and photographer Ross Grieve gained exclusive access to capture the daily life of this monastic order and the beauty of the island on which they live. This documentary book explores all aspects of life on Caldey Island – its abbey, people and wildlife. The Island is visited by over 60,000 people each summer and is part of Pembrokeshire National Park, the UK’s only national coastal park. The book features over 100 archive images and photographs of Caldey’s religious celebrations, tourism and history, and the everyday life of its islanders.

You can preorder on Amazon or meet us on the 26th for signings.

Orient Express - Prague to Paris

This week is a very exciting commission, especially for a Pembrokeshire photographer. On Friday I head to Prague to get on the Orient Express (tick this off my bucket list), to cover a corporate shoot. This trip will produce some amazing images, but with only 3 days to shoot time will be tight. Once I'm back I'll pop a few images for you all to have a look at. Don't forget to subscribe to our blog for more information on Ross Grieve Photography.

Rio - Brazil

Last week we were in Brazil on a corporate shoot. The place was amazing and we got some wonderful images of the icons of Brazil. Unfortunatley the Christ of Redeemer was covered in scaffold and cloud, but it was still very impressive. The Meracana Stadium, among the wonders of Rio, MaracanĂ£, largest stadium in the world, is one of the country’s major tourist and cultural patrimonies. In the land of soccer, where this sport is a religion, many consider it the Temple of the Gods. It was built in 1950 for the World Cup, and designed to hold 166,369 spectators. Currently, after reforms, it can hold up to 114,145.

We then did various other shots but on the Friday we did fly to Iguassu Falls which is trying to become one of the 7 Natural Wonders, and it is amazing, as you can see the Falls are very impressive.
